World’s first 360 degree backflip in a car video

History has been made yet again today in the stunt world as Frenchman Guerlain Chicherit performs the world’s first 360-degree backflip in a car. The champion rally driver trained for four years to do the stunt, carrying it out in private before premiering to the crowds in Tignes.

The event was set up by Monster Energy Drink, also famous for the Gymkhana stunts performed by Ken Block. In a specially built Mini Countryman, Chicherit sped towards a 25ft high ramp at exactly 37mph. Hitting the quarter-pipe he soared 75ft into the air whilst flipping his car a full 360 degrees backwards.

The stunt has been attampted by many before him but Chicheret is the only one to successfully execute the landing.
