The CarDealer Power Awards were announced yesterday evening at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, and I can only imagine that there will be a fair few heads hurting this morning after celebrations of great success.
Guests arrived in black tie and were greeted by the Editor himself James Baggott and Duncan Chappell the Advertising Manager of the magazine. After many an introduction and a joke about the lubrication award, the evening continued in full swing as winners collected their awards.
We proudly picked up the Web Design Award (Franchised site) on behalf of our innovative design team and the general atmosphere was filled with gratitude that our hard work had paid off and has been recognized by our customers. We were also shortlisted but unsucessful for the Web Design award for Independents and Search Engine Optimisation Services.
Big brands such as Hyundai won a Car Dealer award for Best Overall Manufacturer, Car of the Year was given to the Kia Rio, and other services such as the National Car Cleaning Company also picked up an Award for going the ‘Extra Mile’.
There were laughs a plenty in-between courses as a magician made his way around the room, turning packs of playing cards into Perspex bricks, bending forks with one hand and making coins appear within hidden, zipped pouches.
We were all in full celebration for the rest of the evening as the organisers of the Car Dealer Power Awards spoiled us with outstanding views, a three course dinner and of course the glass trophies to mark our individual successes.
