See the sites with GForces – Our October launches roundup
What does the great firewall of China have in common with a car supermarket and the new Vauxhall Zafira? Rather than being an unlikely pub quiz stumper, the answer is that they have all been the focus of GForces client projects and campaigns over the past month.
In fact, our October highlights saw us working on two continents, as well as websites and marketing for nine manufacturers, one national sales company, five independent retailers and numerous franchises.
We kicked the month off with the launch of Donnelly Group Van Centre, a new franchise and location that not only adds to the number of brands they already represent, but also their presence in Northern Ireland. The site was designed to echo their already successful Motorstore used car franchise, and has inbuilt flexibility to allow for future growth and expansion to further sites. Delivered through NetDirector® Auto V10, it also features NetDirector® Stock, NetDirector® Enquiry Manager, NetDirector® LeadBeast and NetDirector® Call Manager. Launched on October 1st, it also gave us the month’s first set of full scores (5/5) across the board for customer satisfaction.
A major accomplishment came in the form of delivering Jaguar and Land Rover’s first entrance into the Chinese market for their approved used programmes, completely in line with their existing global brand standards. We tailored the design so that site speed and user experience wasn’t affected by the ‘Great Firewall of China’, optimising the content and delivery by providing a site served within China itself. That meant re-building parts of the software to cater for the very specific infrastructure, adopting Chinese solutions like Baidu Maps and YouKu instead of Google and YouTube, and of course, providing full, fluid translation into Mandarin.
Through their existing Mazda and Subaru manufacturer websites, Turnbulls of York already had GForces representation online. They wanted to expand their offering with a NetDirector® Auto Lite site that linked from those sites and acted as a central point for displaying the group stock as a whole. In order to fully embrace this function as an online store front, we also added NetDirector® Stock, Codeweavers and CAP modules to offer a complete car buying journey for users. We also received another full set of scores in our client feedback.
Dowleys and James & Jenkins launched new NetDirector® Auto V10 sites representing Isuzu and Subaru respectively, via long standing clients IM Group. With our bespoke and tailored modules incorporated, both deliver enhanced and engaging user experiences.

Two new first-generation websites were also delivered for Ames, based in Thetford, Norfolk, for their Nissan and Ford franchises. They got NetDirector® Auto Lite sites with inbuilt stock management and finance examples, and we got a very happy client and more full scores in return.
Skoda dealers Allams of Epsom required a second-generation website that represented the continued growth of both their business and the range of Skoda vehicles. Again, the versatility of NetDirector® Auto Lite allowed for a website designed to meet their requirements perfectly, with finance functionality and NetDirector® Service Booking built in at their request.
October also saw us deliver a fully responsive and interactive campaign for Vauxhall, focused on the Zafira Tourer and featuring a full 360 exterior fly-by video, sticky side navigation call-to-actions and a waypoint navigation bar. The campaign was delivered on time successfully to 45 Vauxhall retailers, and rolled out across the entire network via the GForces Vauxhall OEM solution.
October therefore gave us the opportunity to show off the flexibility of NetDirector® Auto Lite, allowed us to unveil some stunning media assets at manufacturer level, and perfectly showcased key elements of our sales and conversion suites, as well as our lead-tracking and service booking software.
