GForces were delighted to have sponsored the award for ‘Best Used Car Marketing Scheme’ at the CarDealer Wheeler Dealer Awards on Monday 3rd December.
It’s the first year the awards have been held and they were co-created by CarDealer Magazine and self-billed ‘best used car dealer in Britain’, Mike Brewer.
Evans Halshaw won the award due to their fantastic tribute to the latest James Bond film Skyfall, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bond. As you continue to scroll down, the graphic changes and transforms as it works through a timeline exhibiting some of 007’s most iconic cars by film and year.
The page was distributed through their social media channels and soon went viral. Attracting attention from bloggers, design websites and even Top Gear and The Guardian wrote an article on it.
It certainly succeeded in driving traffic to their website and increasing brand awareness of Evans Halshaw. They are a prime example of how car dealers can think outside the box and use social media to attract attention without the need for hard selling. Their SEO was also boosted by the campaign as the page was existed on Evans Halshaw’s website so every time the page was shared, their site was shared.
