GForces at the University of Kent EDA reception and prize giving

In a continuation of GForces’ active involvement in Kent’s education sector, we are proud to have sponsored an award which was handed out at a recent University of Kent prize giving event which took place in the grand surroundings of Canterbury Cathedral.

At the end of each year, students from the University of Kent’s School of Engineering and Digital Arts and their families gather together for the annual Reception and Prize Giving. The event celebrates all manner of outstanding work completed over the previous terms and draws sponsorship from companies including BAE Systems and Megger Instruments.

This year, the GForces Prize, which was presented by GForces’ Head of Digital Media Services, Steven Lloyd-Barlow, was presented to Sebastian Santos Rivera for creating the best 3D animation. Massive congratulations to Sebastian for his hard work and this well-deserved prize!

Sponsorship of this prize is just part of our on-going support for local education. We take our duty of responsibility towards local up-coming talent very seriously and in recent years we have been recognised for our efforts by the Kent Education and Business Partnership.

We regularly offer internships and work experience to students through our links with universities and schools across the county. For recent graduates, it’s also worth keeping an eye on our careers page!
