Car Dealer Used Car Awards see GForces clients rewarded and recognised
The Car Dealer Used Car Awards 2017 took place last night at The Brewery, a premier event and fine-dining venue in the City of London. GForces, an impressive number of our clients, and 100s of other motor trade professionals were all in attendance. The event showcased what an impressive standard is expected in today’s market. Mike Brewer, of TV’s Wheeler Dealers was the host for the evening.
The used car market has faced a number of challenges this year, from a tough economic outlook to changes in legislation and political climate affecting the market. So, this year’s Used Car Awards were a real spotlight on why the used car market is the backbone of the industry, and how engaging consumers and delivering new buyer journeys is now key to success.
A major highlight of the night was the success of our client Tempest4Cars, who won ‘Used Car Dealership of the Year’. The West Sussex retailer has a well-earned reputation for high-quality stock and great customer service – and the sophisticated appearance and user-friendly design of their NetDirector® site reflects this highly professional ethos. The site’s features include NetDirector® Service Booking widget, along with Finance and Valuations calculators.
Marshall Motor Group won ‘Social Media User of the Year’. With regular posts across all their channels, covering their latest news, locations, vehicle reveals, and special offers, it was an award well deserved. Later on in the evening, they also took the crown for ‘Used Car Dealership Group of the Year’.
‘Specialist Used Car Dealer of the Year’ went to another of our clients, Targa Florio Cars. As an established high-performance and luxury car dealer, their stunning website shows the level of customer service and presentation they set – but we admit we are a little biased.
We’d also like to give a special mention to Tony Entwistle of John Holland, who was awarded ‘Used Car Dealer Principal of the Year’. Another well-deserved win for a brilliant client, who was also highly commended in the ‘Used Car Dealership of the Year’ (51-100 cars) category.
In the next category up, ‘Used Car Dealership of the Year’ (Over 100 cars), another client, Roadside Garages, took the top prize.
Having worked closely over the last year with Jaguar Land Rover on a number of projects, including delivering their approved programmes in the Taiwanese and Chinese markets, we were especially pleased to see them recognised for ‘Outstanding Achievement of the Year’. Congratulations to Jeremy Hicks and their charity swim team, whose channel crossing raised £185,000 for the BEN charity.
Finally, our heartfelt congratulations go to Snows Motor Group, on being awarded the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in tribute to Geoff Snow. Described as a pioneer in the retail car industry, with an absolute belief that the customer was king, Geoff sadly passed away in August this year, but the award was collected by his son and Group Chairman, Stephen Snow. Geoff’s legacy, and his ideals of making the purchasing decision process as comfortable as possible for the buyer, will undoubtedly be a permanent part of Snows’ core values.
