Last night we attended the glittering annual Motor Trader Awards ceremony at the Grosvenor Hotel in London, alongside the great and the good of the UK car dealing world. As well as enjoying the event’s familiar hospitality and general merriment, we were able to share in the celebrations of several GForces clients who picked up some well-deserved awards.
Best Dealer Website of the Year went to HR Owen for the eye-catching www.hrowen.co.uk. Utilising the GForces NetDirector platform, the website stands out from the competition thanks to its use of video, top-quality imagery and dynamic content, like NetDirector Assets – Interiors. The site delivers a browsing experience unlike that of any other car retailer in the UK. As ever, it’s a huge pleasure and very rewarding for us to have worked with HR Owen and delivered such a different – and now award-winning – website.
HR Owen also snapped up the prize for Dealer Group of the Year – so massive congratulations to them on the double victory!
Essex Auto Group continued the winning ways by scooping the award for Best Mobile Website. Designed by GForces to be simple and place the most essential tools at a consumer’s fingertips, the site was a worthy winner. Its trump card is perhaps the integrated aftersales tools, offering convenience and simplicity for those browsing for a new car or existing owners just wanting to book a service. The site has been the ideal tool to help EAG capture additional leads from the large number of people now browsing on phones and tablets – typically a third of website traffic for car dealers.
Another of our clients, McCarthy Cars, took Used Car Retailer of the Year – an award presented by none other than Sir Stirling Moss. The used car dealer group, based in Surrey, has been a real innovator in the used sector, offering the kind of online presence and on- and offline customer service that puts many new car franchised dealers to shame, helped by tools like LiveChat and full social integration. Big congratulations to them on a job well done.
