Helping to make the world better… with a sweater

Along with numerous other individuals, businesses and general good eggs, GForces once again took part in the annual Christmas Jumper Day initiative in aid of Save the Children on December 13th. As our Facebook photo album demonstrates, staff across our UK locations got involved in the Christmas spirit by donning their finest (yeah right…) knitwear in exchange for a small donation.

We managed to raise a grand total of over £154, trumping last year’s efforts and looking pretty damn cool in the process (we’ll keep telling ourselves this…).

The money raised will be used by Save the Children to support a range of initiatives across the four corners of the globe. Our total alone will cover the training of a midwife in some of the poorest parts of the world, with a big chunk of change to pour into other initiatives. Additionally, the images shown so consistently on the news of the dire situation in Syria are a reminder that as winter closes in, it’s up to individuals and businesses in the western world to offer up the support to alleviate at least some of the suffering.
