Lifestyle Europe has won the Inaugural Car Dealer ewards for best Franchised Dealer website built by G-Forces using their acclaimed NetDirector Auto web platform. The ewards were judged by a panel of 10 experts who rated a shortlist from over 400 entries.
Peter Isted, Managing Director of Lifestyle Europe took the time to speak to G-Forces about this success. One of his first points was that they already had a successful website so the move to G-Forces was done with a great deal of thought.
“I had to be extremely confident the new provider were going to back up what they said. Thankfully they did.
“Customers are doing there homework online before visiting the showroom. With that in mind we wanted to ensure we had a digital dealership so that the customer could sit in the comfort of their home and look at all our offerings, not only sales but also servicing, parts and rental. When they make that decision to visit, its a Lifestyle decision, and not one to visit other dealers.
“We’ve gone from an Escort to a Ford GT40 with the new site.” Isted explains “we’ve even had Ford Motor Company and Renault UK congratulating us on the award and the site.”
When it comes to the importance of the web, Peter Isted states “70% plus of our customers are looking at the website before they actually come in to the showroom so we realise the potential of this and feel the future is very bright for Lifestyle.”
Due to the success of G-Forces web marketing and search engine optimisation services Lifestyle has made some big changes as Isted explains “Its meant we have been able to look at other areas of expenditure such as press and been able to reduce that significantly and invest that money in to our website.”
Peter Isted was also very clear about the importance of team work when it came to the success of the new website. Carys Jukes, Lifestyle’s Marketing Manager contributed significantly to the success of the project and is testimony to the importance, focus and commitment they place on the internet to help drive their business.
G-Forces also claimed one of the two coveted Highly Commended spots with SMC Group, the second accolade for this website which had already beaten off 150 entries to receive a “Highly Commended” 2nd place at the Motor Trader awards in May.
