AM Awards put GForces’ clients in the spotlight for another year.
The 2018 Automotive Management Awards were held last night at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham. In what has been another challenging year for automotive retail, championing those who have set new standards for performance and innovation is more important than ever.
Steph McGovern, BBC Breakfast’s resident business and finance reporter and regular co-host, was back by popular demand to oversee the evening’s entertainment. Britain’s best-known hoaxer, Lee Nelson is famed for exploits such as handing Theresa May her P45 at the Tory party conference in October and closed the night with some on-point comedy. But as always, the real focus of the evening was on the automotive industry’s highest achievers, and GForces were proud to be in attendance as many of our clients were granted their well-earned time in the spotlight.
Winner of Best Retail Group (with more than ten sites) went to Sytner Group, who we have worked with closely for several years. Already the UK’s largest motor dealer by revenue, Sytner represents over twenty of the world’s most prestigious car manufacturers and chooses to do so on the NetDirector® platform – which we take as a considerable compliment from a company that takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Highly commended in the same category was Eden Motor Group, another GForces client based in Reading.
Best Digital Campaign saw another GForces client highly commended, this time being Mercedes Benz Retail Group. Not looking to be outdone, Sytner too found themselves highly commended for Best Training & Development Programme.
And with yet another return to the stage, Sytner saw the evening come to a close by being named Retailer of the Year. But they weren’t quite done even then, with Chief Executive Darren Edwards also being announced as Business Leader of the Year.
Huge congratulations to all our clients who received such worthy recognition and accolades at this year’s AM Awards. We look forward to celebrating many more together in the future.
