GForces were proud sponsors of the AM Aftersales Conference on Tuesday 8th April at the Crowne Plaza, Heythrop Park Hotel in Oxfordshire. The event attracted over 200 delegates including vehicle manufacturers, franchised dealers, suppliers and speakers from a breadth of industries. Partners present also included CitNOW, Autodata and Call IT Automotive.
The Conference explored the field of opportunity that aftersales presents to retailers along with advice on how to capitalise on what they already have to offer. Recognising and exploiting additional income channels was heavily covered, including tips, case studies and new research on ways to enlarge business offerings and enhance customer relationships via your website. Sophisticated yet straightforward digital marketing tactics from a number of commentators helped round off the information provided.
GForces’ Group Strategy Director, Tim Smith, undertook a well-attended headline slot in which he covered an array of key aftersales topics. He demonstrated how by moving in advance of the rest of the field, some motor retailers were reaping the rewards; how reputation management can turn detractors into fans and how constantly pushing the boundaries has allowed some businesses to stand out from the crowd. In his workshop, GForces’ Head of Retail, Paul Hilton, delivered additional tips and real-world case studies of how digital can be intrinsic to aftersales. To back this up, Paul called on research from consumers, motor retailers and on wider the industry.
Feedback from attendees at the event has been highly positive. Both Tim and Paul were very well received – several people picking them out as highlights of the conference. In addition, GForces’ partners, clients and associates presenting at the Aftersales Conference gained some great feedback. The topics covered were also deemed to be relevant and engaging by delegates, helping them to create a more profitable aftersales in the future, armed with the most up-to-date and relevant information.
